Age UK BRWF confirms shop closure but announces new plans!

Following the sale of the building in March this year, Age UK BRWF is sad to confirm that it will be closing its Charity Shop at 113 High Street, Bromsgrove on 23rd November 2024.

Opening as a ‘Pop Up’ shop in January 2022, the shop has provided Age UK BRWF with the opportunity to gain experience of having a dedicated furniture shop, as well as having a high street presence.

Speaking about 113 High Street shop, Age UK BRWF’s CEO Amanda Allen said;

‘We are so very grateful for all the support that our High Street shop has received since it opened. In addition to playing an important role in helping to grow our Retail income (so that we can continue providing much-needed local services for older people living in North Worcestershire), having a physical presence on the high street has also helped with raising awareness of our local work and our ability to engage with members of the community. Whilst we are sad to be leaving 113 High Street, we are really pleased to announce our plans to open a new, permanent shop on Bromsgrove High Street in the former Shoe Zone premises! We are not yet in a position to confirm an opening date, but we hope to get the keys for the new shop very soon. In the meantime, there are going to be some amazing bargains to be had at our High Street store in the coming days, plus we have six additional shops across North Worcestershire so please do continue to shop and donate and to help make a difference for local older people’.
