We Can’t Wait For Care – Get Involved
Published on 10 February 2023 10:46 AM
With millions of older people in England waiting for social care, the national Age UK team has launched its “We Can’t Wait For Care” campaign.
As part of the campaign they have written an open letter to the Chancellor, asking Jeremy Hunt to use the Spring Budget on Wednesday 15 March to tackle care assessment backlogs, reduce waiting lists, and ensure all older people can get the care and support they need. If you would like to add your name to this letter you can do so via this link:
The national team are also asking for letters from people. Whether they can’t get the care they need, know a loved one who is waiting for care, or are an unpaid carer themselves, Age UK want to let the Chancellor know how the pressures in social care are affecting people’s lives and the lives of their loved ones.
