Join our Big Knit Campaign 2025!
Help us reach 10,000 knitted hats for the Big Knit and raise £3,000. Age UK Bristol is participating in the Innocent Smoothies and Age UK Big Knit campaign.
We are aiming to knit 10,000 little hats by 25th June 2025. Each hat is a 30p donation to Age UK Bristol. 10,000 hats means £3,000 in funds for local services for older people.
We need your help!
Can you pledge to knit some hats? It could be 10, 100, 500 or more!
Are you a member of a knitting group or community group that could take up the challenge?
Do you work in a secondary school and need a challenge for the new term?
We would love to know if you have taken up the challenge. Send us an email at fundraising@ageukbristol.org.uk or take a photo of your hats and tag us on social media @ageukbristol.
The deadline for sending in your hats is the 25th June 2025.
How to send it in
Once you have knitted your hats, send them in to Age UK Bristol. You can drop them off in person or by post to Age UK Bristol, Canningford House, 38 Victoria Street, Bristol, BS1 6BY.
If there is a FAB café near to you, you can dop them off with the AUKB volunteer and they will bring them in. You can find the list of FAB cafes here.

Could you run the Bristol 10k for us? Or maybe organise a coffee morning or cake sale? Does your work do a Christmas Jumper day? You could nominate Age UK Bristol as the charity this year.
Fundraising for Age UK Bristol is fun and doesn't have to be hard work. We are an independent charity and rely on the support of local people like yourself to support our services.
You might surprise yourself at how much you can raise - go ahead and challenge yourself! Get in touch, we would love to hear about what you are planning. We can spread the word on our website or social media, and we can send you a fundraising pack with ideas and tips.

People get sponsored to:

- Have their head shaved
You can even create a page in memory of someone or instead of wedding gifts. The only limit is your imagination!
Are you up for an Ultra Challenge? We are signed up with https://www.ultrachallenge.com/ as one of their charity partners. They have 17 different challenges to choose from every year. In May 2024, we had 2 people do the Jurassic Ultra Challenge in aid of AUKB. You could do it next!
All of the money raised in Bristol, stays in Bristol!
Age UK Bristol is a local independent charity, we depend on the support of local people and businesses to keep our services going. Support us in supporting over 55s in Bristol!
