Charity calendars and greeting cards on sale

Age UK Bristol’s Art on Zoom Club with Bristol Arts for All have created a series of greeting cards and a 2023 calendar to attract new members to the group, celebrate the artists’ achievements, and raise funds.

The art club was set up during lockdown but still runs today as it continues to meet the needs of older people who are less able to leave the house to attend in-person meetups, such as carers and people living with disabilities.

Dot, one of the art club members said, “I am at present chair bound and find going to classes impossible. Sitting for long periods and finding something to do is difficult so the Bristol Art for All/Age UK Bristol sessions on Zoom are the highlight of my week giving me an opportunity to meet and share with others in the group, and I love it.”

Since the group began they have run two exhibitions at the John Wesley’s New Room in Broadmead, attended the BS9 Arts Trail and are now launching their first calendar, made up of art created by the members.

Money raised from the purchase of the cards and calendars will support the running costs of the art club.

The calendars are on sale in the Age UK Bristol office, you can either drop by the office to purchase them or contact Jo Stokes to arrange a card payment and postage, ring 0117 929 7537  or email linkage@ageukbristol.org.uk Calendars cost £7 each and cards are £2.50 each or 5 for £10.
