Age UK Bristol and Mirthy bring exciting content to the homes of over 50s in Bristol

Age UK Bristol is excited to announce the launch of our new partnership with Mirthy, a community and activities platform for over-50s that aims to combat loneliness and promote learning and socialisation. Mirthy believes that an active life, bursting with education and entertainment, should be accessible to all.  

With this in mind, Mirthy users can host or take part in free and affordable group activities online, with audience interaction and socialising, from the comfort of their home. The online platform was developed with it’s users in mind, so is simple and easy to use for those not tech-confident.  

Activities include insightful talks and lectures, entertainment and music, fitness classes, a monthly book club, cooking demonstrations, creative workshops, and has an ever expanding catalogue of events. Events can be accessed from your computer, smartphone or tablet, all you need is Zoom, and an internet connection.  

This new partnership will allow our members to access 3 months of Mirthy Unlimited for free, usually priced at £4.99 per month. Mirthy Unlimited was launched at the beginning of October and is a subscription service, which offers access to all Mirthy events for no additional cost. After your initial 3 month trial, you can opt to carry on enjoying the Mirthy Unlimited by signing up as a paying member.

Co-Founders Alex Ramamurthy and Dhruv Haria share a passion for digital approaches to building communities for over-60s.
