Trustees

Age UK Bradford District is working to value everyone’s future, develop age friendly communities and put people first.

We need new Trustees to join our inspiring and collaborative Board to support the governance and strategic direction of the charity. Providing challenge and support we are actively seeking candidates who bring experience of operating at a board or strategic level across public sector, healthcare, charitable or commercial organisations.  

We are looking for people who have skills and background in a range of areas including strategic leadership, finance and accounting and people and organisational development and reflect our values: person-centred, inclusive, empowering, connected and authentic.  

Together with our team of staff and volunteers we will enable, empower and support people to live well as active, engaged and influential members of their communities. 

As a Trustee you must be inspiring, energetic, and commercial, able to provide support and challenge in equal measure. You will be sharing the benefit and experience of an accomplished career and we are actively seeking candidates who bring experience operating at a board or strategic level within a wide range of sectors. We are particularly interested to meet with people who have one of more of the following attributes:

•Senior financial professional with a strategic financial background to act as a Treasurer

•Demonstrable success in retail management, marketing, strategic planning, programme management or IT in either healthcare, charitable, public sector or commercial organisations

•Identifying as having a disability or coming from a BAME background

You’ll have a genuine empathy for the charity’s activities, values and work and be committed to the importance of the not for profit sector.
