Bradford Buddy Scheme
Bradford Council Adults Services Health & Wellbeing Department have commissioned Age UK Bradford District and Mencap (not for profit organisations) to provide a Bradford District Buddy Scheme.
The scheme pairs buddies with an older person who share the same interests or hobbies, so they can go out and do these things together as friends enabling older people to form friendship groups based around shared interests, skills, hobbies.
Bradford Buddies is for people aged 50+ living in the Bradford District area, who are wanting to make connections through friendship groups and getting out into the local community. And it’s for people who may be lonely, isolated, lacking opportunities or confidence, but wanting to get out and do things with someone who shares their interests – a buddy!
If you would like to find out more about the scheme, please contact us on 01274 391190.
