Age UK Bradford District reunites friends

Roberta’s daughter Catherine contacted Age UK about the Buddy scheme for her mum. Whilst on the waiting list for a buddy, Roberta was invited to attend the Buddy Group based at Morrisons 5 Lane Ends.

Daughter Catherine brought Roberta to the Buddy group. Another lady, Una had also enquired about the Buddy scheme and attended the same group.

Roberta and Una lived not far from one another and had been friends but lost contact many years earlier. The Buddy group helped to bring the two together again. Now they both attend the group and catch a taxi together and look forward to meeting up with each other as well as making new friendships over a cuppa.
