Morrisons 5 Lane Ends Hosts Festive Christmas Dinner for Age UK Bradford District’s Buddy Group

Christmas came early for members of Age UK Bradford District’s Buddy Group as Morrisons 5 Lane Ends hosted a Christmas dinner to spread festive cheer and community spirit on Wednesday 18th December.

The support of Morrisons’ Cafe Manager Sam and Community Champion Julie brought together Buddy Group members for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, delicious food, and gifts. Guests arrived dressed for the occasion, ready to celebrate with friends.

Attendees were treated to a three-course meal, generously provided by Morrisons, and gifts that added a special touch to the day. The festive gathering was a true celebration of friendship and community, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

Hadji Singh, Age UK Bradford District’s Community Buddy Champion, attended the event and shared his thanks with Julie and Sam. "Your support throughout the year has been incredible, and this wonderful Christmas dinner has brought so much joy to everyone here today. Thank you for making this possible," said Hadji.

The Buddy Groups, run by Age UK Bradford District, provide vital social connections for older people who may otherwise feel isolated.
