Age UK Bradford District is pleased to announce a partnership with Bradford company Assisted Living. Assisted Living provides accessible bathroom solutions to enable older people to continue living independently in their own homes. The partnership will see the firm making a £50 donation from each bathroom sold, as well as becoming a Trusted Trader for the charity.
As Mark Rounding, CEO of Age UK Bradford District, explained: "We anticipate an extremely rewarding partnership with Assisted Living and are very grateful for their support. It's fantastic to be working with a company that share our vision to help older people improve their quality of life and maintain independence. An increase in funding means that we can help more older people live a better life through an increase in support, advice, activities and services that we can offer. Cheryl from Assisted Living has also kindly offered to host regular coffee mornings, an opportunity for people to socialise. We know that a lot of older people suffer from loneliness, especially since the long-lasting effects of the pandemic and extended periods of social isolation."
Cheryl Risdon, Client Services Manager of Assisted Living added: “When we were approached by Lynette at Age UK Bradford District to become a trusted trader, we were delighted to have the opportunity to be able to support elderly people across the Bradford district. After a couple of meetings with Lynette it become apparent that as a business, we would like to do more to support our community. As part of our 2023/2024 CSR strategy we have decided to donate to Age UK Bradford District for every installation we undertake. We are aiming to donate a minimum of £300 a month which we know will go towards assisting the invaluable schemes that the charity runs.
Proudly sponsoring Age UK Bradford District aligns with our values at Assisted Living where we strive to support elderly people in maintaining their independence and quality of life.”
Age UK Bradford District and Assisted Living will be jointly hosting a festive Jingle Bakes event on Tuesday 12th December from 10am - 12 noon in the charity’s Wrose Hub at 75 Wrose Road, Wrose, Shipley, Bradford, BD18 1HX. Older people living in the area are all welcome for what promises to be an ideal pre-Christmas celebration. Jingle Bakes is a great opportunity to enjoy some favourite treats, spread some festive cheer and also to raise vital funds for Age UK Bradford District.
