Information Plus Awareness Event

On Monday 22nd July, Age UK Bradford District are hosting an Information Plus awareness event at the Wrose & Windhill Community Hub, 75 Wrose Road, Wrose BD18 1HX. The event offers the opportunity for people to be able to speak in private with an Information Plus Assistant, who will be able to help them find out what support is available to them.

Age UK Bradford District’s new Information Plus service was launched on 29th April 2024. The Information Plus service provides a gateway to all Age UK Bradford District’s functions across Help & Support, Advice & Casework and Activities & Groups. The service explores people’s circumstances to enable them to access the information and support they need, including the full range of Age UK National’s Information Guides on a range of issues.

The service will be available via telephone, email, and drop-in sessions at Age UK Bradford District’s six Community Hubs

Mark Rounding, CEO of Age UK Bradford District said “through our support, we have unlocked £1.5 million in previously unclaimed benefits for older people in Bradford District in the last 12 months. The people we work with tell us that even a small financial help has a huge impact on their quality of life, reducing the impact on the rising cost of living meaning they can eat well and sleep better knowing they don’t have to worry”.

Information is also accessible and available across the district in all the Community Hubs during opening hours through Age UK National's comprehensive Information Guides. Information Guides are also available at external locations across the district and online at Age UK factsheets and information guides | Age UK. All Age UK Bradford District’s staff and volunteers can help you access these and other basic information, signposting to other providers and access to the Trusted Trader database. Each Hub also has a Community Noticeboard.
