Someone To Talk To offers clients a non-judgemental space where anyone over 50 can have a confidential conversation about life and how they are feeling. We will not tell you what to do, but we will help you to work out what is best for you.

Clients can access up to 12 sessions of tailored 1-1 support, in person, over the phone or via video call.

This service is delivered in partnership with 1Point North West Ltd.

How the service works

Once your referral has been received, a 1Point Co-ordinator will undertake a simple triage appointment.

If you choose to progress, a further two introductory sessions will be arranged with a member of 1Point’s Graduate Counselling team, with the option of remaining with this therapist or transferring to another team member if preferred.

Clients have the opportunity to access up to 12 weeks of support, including the two introductory sessions.

Continuing clients will attend sessions weekly or fortnightly, in person or via phone/video call.
