Living with memory loss or having a diagnosis of dementia can be difficult to come to terms with but many older people live well with both. Our trained staff use a technique called cognitive stimulation therapy which focuses on opinions rather than just facts or reminiscence. This session is tailored specifically at those who are of Asian heritage and is small in size so that everyone feels comfortable and amongst friends. There are a range of activities on offer including discussion, games, crafts, current affairs and music. The sessions have proven benefits of improving social confidence, speech and memory

Eligibility

This session is suitable for people aged 50 or over of Asian Heritage background living with mild to moderate dementia or struggling with their memory. This is not a drop in group
