Student placements
We offer student placements and work experience opportunities Monday to Friday across a number of our services for students aged 16 or over.
Placements and work experience are a mandatory part of the higher education course that students are studying and are usually arranged in conjunction with the education establishment.
We can provide opportunities for formal structured placements for studies such as Social work, medicine, pharmacy.
We are also happy to discuss other opportunities within our organisation in respect of health and social care, finance, business admin, retail and marketing
Where we have capacity we may be able to offer work experience opportunities in our charity shop
Our placement opportunities are always oversubscribed and applicants are advised to contact us as early as possible before they wish to start as it can take up to 4 weeks to undertake the necessary checks
For more details please contact Elaine Jennings elaine.jennings@ageukbwd.org.uk or call 01254 266620
We also welcome students 16 + where we can who wish to volunteer alongside their studies either regularly week on week or for a shorter period such as school holidays. If you are a student who wishes to volunteer rather than come to us as a formal placement then please complete our volunteer application form and we will contact you to discuss the right role for you around your availability.
