Pension Credit

We are working with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to help identify some 600 older people in the borough who may be eligible for pension credit this winter.

We are encouraging people to chat to their relatives, neighbours and friends about how they are managing financially and direct them to our local offices for a free benefit and entitlement check. Many older people rule themselves out of even checking because they think they won't be eligible but our message is that it costs nothing to check.

Anyone who may be eligible will have received a letter from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council in the last month. 

Anyone who thinks they may be entitled can call into our offices no appointment needed in Blackburn library - Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm, or in Darwen Town Hall Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 9.30am to 1pm - closed Tuesday or call 01254 266620
