Memory Makers
Published on 10 January 2023 09:13 AM
We have two new Memory Maker groups starting week commencing 16th January. The sessions will be held in Darwen Town Hall and also Accrington Road Community Centre.
These groups are for people living with memory loss or early stage dementia - you do not have to have a diagnosis of dementia to attend. The groups are small - no more than 8 people and use specialised activities and techniques to help stimulate working memory. The proven stimulation cognitive therapy techniques also help to promote self confidence and wellbeing. Each session is carefully tailored to the audience using a wide range of activities.
Participants of our initial group have enjoyed the sessions greatly
