Our personal 1-1 Befriending Service offers dedicated support in-person or on the phone to an individual who lives alone and may be unable to leave home due to chronic illness or long-term disability. Clients will be matched to a volunteer who will be in contact on a regular basis to help reduce loneliness and social isolation. This service is free of charge. Our befrienders are unable to provide personal care or cleaning services.
This is not a time limited service, and our volunteers will be on hand to maintain the relationship for as long as it is needed.
