Age UK Bexley is a local independent charity with more than 25 staff and 70 volunteers. We support 4000 local older people and their families every year, offering activities, events, befriending and information. It's a great place to work if you really want to make a difference in people's lives.

Car Owner/Drivers needed for part time work on Thursdays

Would you like to earn a bit of extra money to help with the cost of living and at the same time support vulnerable older people living in the community?

Age UK Bexley is charity supporting older people in the borough of Bexley. We are looking to recruit people with a driving licence and access to their own transport to give older people a lift to our Day Centre in Belvedere in the morning, then collect them in the afternoon and take them home again (Thursdays only at present although this could grow to include other weekdays eventually). We would pay you for your time and you would also receive a tax-free mileage allowance.

You need to have a clean driving licence, a car that is accessible for older people, and a kind and caring attitude towards our clients.

Trustee

At Age UK Bexley we are looking to strengthen our Board of Trustees by recruiting a Board member who has knowledge and experience in the area of Health and Safety. You may be currently working in, or have previously worked, in this field so that you will be able to provide advice and support to the staff team around Health and Safety issues.

This is a voluntary position.

Our Board meets 4 or 5 times a year, mostly online, although there are sometimes additional meetings if required.
