Special Conditions: |
Local travel during work will be required, for which mileage allowance or public transport costs will be paid. Access to a car is preferred. |

Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary, for which time off in lieu on an hour-by-hour basis is allowed. |

JOB SUMMARY
To support Wokingham Dementia Alliance and dementia friendly work.
Lead on dementia awareness and understanding across Wokingham.
The role consists of marketing and communication, administration and coordination with a view to growing the reach and awareness of Dementia Friendly Wokingham (DFW).
- Be the single point of contact and lead on the promotion and awareness raising of the DFW and its projects.
- Act as Chair of the Movement, working to expand the reach of the group, utilising and supporting members.
- With our Marketing and Communications Officer, deliver and execute marketing and communications strategy across all media to support, promote and increase awareness of the DFW and its work.
- Develop and keep a wide range of stakeholders up to date and positive about supporting DFW.
- Keep up to date and target different communities, neighbourhoods and streets to develop and introduce tools to increase awareness and knowledge of DFW.
- Provide oversight and support for local dementia forums, encourage the development of more forums and attend where appropriate.
- Line Manage the Wokingham Dementia Activities Coordinator.
- Run ad hoc events as required.
- Gather knowledge and information to ensure that a robust database, website and directory is kept of local dementia friendly activities and events.
- Oversee the transfer of data onto our CRM system.
- Chair, prepare agenda, papers and update actions for DFW meetings.
- Coordinate and deliver Dementia Information Sessions across Wokingham.
- To collect data and provide information that will be used to demonstrate the achievement of milestones, and inform the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of
the programme and activities.
- To prepare reports and updates to the funder as required, including outputs, outcomes and impact.
- Liaise and work with partners collaboratively, ensuring opportunities for DFW are maximised.
- To carry out other duties commensurate with the tasks and within the competence of the postholder.
