Delivering Christmas Hampers! Age UK Berkshire delivered Christmas hampers to 150 of our befriending clients last weekend. The hampers contained mince pies, cheese straws, chocolates, sweets and crisps. They also included beautifully handmade Christmas cards created by school children in the community. Needless to say, the hampers were very gratefully received by all. We would like to say a huge thanks to those who donated the gifts, to all our volunteer elves and to all who organised this special time of giving.
This is the lovely Emma, one of our busy elves, who reported that some comments made to her were; “what a lovely surprise!” and “I am so grateful for how much Age UK Berkshire support me”. One lady said, “this kind gesture would help to make Christmas better for her."
Meet Sina, one of our busy AUKB befrienders, who was out in the cold on Sunday delivering Christmas hampers to our clients. Sina thoroughly enjoyed her day on the road.
Elf Tina said: "Today was absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so happy to get their hampers."
