Carers Respite Service
This service aims to give carers some respite from caring, thus enabling them to undertake other things, whilst knowing that their loved one is in safe hands. The respite/sitting service can be for an hour or more on each occasion. This is arranged with our office. We will make a short telephone assessment before the service commences. This is for Health and Safety regulations which cover both you and us. As with our other services we will endeavour to send you the same worker each time you have the service. In this way we feel that they can build a rapport with you and your loved one. All of our team are fully trained, reference checked and have a Disclosure and Barring Certificate or a Criminal Records Bureau clearance. Many of our workers have been with us for over 5 years, some as long as 14 years. All, though, have a special interest in helping older people and will be looking forward to meeting you. We ask that you give them a brief outline of what is required of them on the first visit to ensure that there is no confusion.
