Sad passing of CEO Karen Perry

the passing of our esteemed Chief Executive Officer, Karen Perry after her 19 year long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the most amazing and incredible individual who touched the lives of everyone she met and thousands more she had not.

Her children, Ryan, Victoria and Serena, The Board of Trustee’s, myself who worked closely with Karen for 21 years and had the privilege of becoming her husband in 2007 plus the entire team of volunteers and staff at Age UK Bedfordshire are  devastated by Karen’s passing. Her dedication, passion, and leadership were truly remarkable, and she will be missed more than we can say.

We would like to invite you to join us in honouring her life and legacy at her funeral, which will be held on the 9th of April, 2:30 pm. The service will take place in the Bedford Crematorium.

We are requesting for a donation to the Macmillan Cancer Support rather than floral tributes. Throughout the whole of Karen’s treatment they have been tremendously supportive and of course equally supportive to probably thousands of other people living with cancer in the area.
