Food Boxes

With the recent increase in household costs such as utilities, fuel, food etc., Central Bedfordshire Council have funded our organisation to help those older people in most need.

To this end we are supplying 200 food boxes to older people who live in the Central Beds area, have long term conditions, or may be isolated and struggling to make ends meet.

The box contents will vary a little but below is an example of some of the items it will contain:

- Hot Water Bottle (for reducing pain)

- Hot Mug ( to keep drinks hot or cold)

- Cool Pack

- Tinned food such as meat, soup, fruit, vegetables, rice pudding, custard etc.

- Packet foods such as rice, pasta, porridge etc.

- UHT Milk

- Tea or coffee

- Hand soap

- Toilet rolls

- Hand held mini fan
