Age UK Barnsley have Wheelchairs for sale!

Age UK Barnsley have been very kindly donated a number of attendant propulsion wheelchairs by Countrywide Healthcare in Grimethorpe. The wheelchairs will be sold via Age UK Barnsley’s Eldon Street Charity Shop and will help to raise vital funds in order to support older people in the Barnsley borough.

There are a total of 11 wheelchairs for sale, which are like new and still in the original packaging.

Commenting, Age UK Barnsley Chief Executive Debby Bunn, said:

“We are very grateful to Countrywide Healthcare for their very generous donation of these wheelchairs to Age UK Barnsley.

“We have donated a number of the wheelchairs to clients who access our Social Inclusion Projects, who would otherwise be unable to afford to buy their own. The remainder will be sold in our Eldon Street Shop, with every penny going towards supporting our work on behalf of older people in the Barnsley borough.

“If you’re interested in purchasing one of these wheelchairs, why not pop along to our Eldon Street shop – you may even grab a bargain while you’re there!”
