Age UK Barnsley on the hunt for furniture donations

Having a summer clear out? Moving house? Got some large pieces of furniture that you’re want to find a new home for?
Age UK Barnsley is here to help!
We gratefully accept donations of large furniture items, as well as household goods such as pictures, frames, vases, ornaments and much, much more at our Eldon Street Charity Shop in the town centre.
All proceeds raised go towards supporting older people in the Barnsley Borough.
We can provide a home collection service too for those who need a little extra support.
Commenting, Age UK Barnsley CEO Debby Bunn said:
“If you’re having a clear out and don’t know what to do with large items of furniture and other household goods then Age UK Barnsley can help.
“Our Eldon Street Charity Shop gratefully receives donations of pre-loved and nearly new goods for sale in the shop – with every penny raised going towards supporting the work that we do.
“Age UK Barnsley is a fiercely local independent charity and we rely on the generous donations of Barnsley people to keep on delivering our mission of making Barnsley the best possible place to grow older.”
