Welcome to the Age UK Barnsley Annual Review for the year 2023! We are thrilled to share with you a glimpse into the impactful work we've been doing to support older people in the Barnsley Borough.

At Age UK Barnsley, our mission is clear: to promote the dignity, wellbeing, safety, and independence of older people in our community. We strive to make Barnsley the best possible place to grow older by providing a wide range of services tailored to the needs of our residents.

From social inclusion to information and advice, from shops to specialist day services, and even a spa, we offer a comprehensive array of services aimed at enhancing the lives of older people in Barnsley. We are immensely proud of the impact our services have had on the lives of thousands of individuals throughout the year.

While celebrating our achievements, we remain committed to seeking new challenges and opportunities to further improve the lives of Barnsley's older generation. We value feedback from our residents and are always open to suggestions on how we can enhance our current services or introduce new ones.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team of around 50 full- and part-time staff and approximately 150 regular volunteers. Their commitment, dedication, and hard work have been vital in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. We are immensely proud of their contributions and grateful for their continued support.
