June's story

June was a regular in our cookery and craft sessions, then during lockdown we paired her with volunteer Emily who gave her online computer support, helping June carry out essential everyday tasks on her computer

'I've needed a lot of support with online matters during lockdown and my volunteer Emily has been brilliant - so patient and encouraging.

I am now telephone banking and have made four online Sainsbury's orders! She's still holding my hand on those!

I have however made an online M&S order on my own! The proof will be in the receipt of it!

I'm not sure I really like online shopping but I can see it's a means to an end but I've been so grateful for Age UK Barnet for connecting me with Emily.

You are all stars - especially at this time!
