Helen and Geri - team Age UK Barnet

So proud of our CEO Helen and her friend and volunteer Geri for taking part in the Regent's Park 10k on 29 June. For both, it'll be the furthest they've ever run! Please consider donating to Helen and Geri's JustGiving page - every penny you give will help support Age UK Barnet’s work!
'I have worked for this very special local charity since 2011 and have seen others commit their time and energy to raise funds and support our work improving the lives of older people,' says Helen. 'I even encouraged my husband and son to get their running shoes on and now I have roped in Geri.'
Geri admits that Helen had to persuade her but she's pleased she did and they've been supporting each other throughout their training. 'I have always wanted to do a longer run and after completing the Couch to 5k programme first during the pandemic, it felt like a natural progression.'
