The Exilarch's Foundation

Age UK is incredibly grateful to the Dangoor Family for their commitment to helping older people.

In 2010, the late Sir Naim Dangoor, CBE, kindly supported our work which contributed towards our ability to deliver a range of services including information and advice, for older people who have no one else to turn to.

Currently, David Dangoor and his family are generously helping Age UK work with local Age UKs to transform the digital capability of the Age UK Network.

Thanks to the support of the Exilarch’s Foundation, we have developed a shared case, contact and service delivery database with local Age UKs, which is helping them to deliver services with and for older people in a more streamlined and efficient way.

Every day of the year, local Age UKs provide information and advice, friendship support, home support, meal delivery, and a wide range of physical activity groups. The shared database is helping them to record information and manage their services, so they can provide consistent and effective, first-class, person-centred support for older people, and enable local Age UKs to demonstrate the impact they have for older people.

The database has been remarkably helpful in making our workload just so much more time efficient and it really has made a difference to the quality of care. It has also enabled us to create new relationships with other local Age UKs, share best practice and work cohesively in a digital space.
