Socialise, take part in fun activities and eat a healthy, home-cooked three-course meal.
It's just not fun eating a meal alone.
Our lunch clubs support older people to socialise, join in a variety of activities and eat a healthy, home-cooked meal.
The aim of Age UK Oldham's Enhanced Lunch Club service is to combat social isolation by providing the opportunity for older people to meet and make new friends and join in a variety of activities .
The Enhanced Lunch Club model enables people who require a little assistance to access this service as carers are available to offer support. A healthy, home-cooked 3 course meal with their peers is provided as it’s just not fun eating a meal alone. The meal is just one part of the lunchtime experience, we also organise optional activities for attendees, such as quizzes, bingo, gentle exercise and singing, as well as parties at Christmas and other special occasions. All for just £6!
